Ring of Kerry Southern Ireland

Last year this holiday was a roaring success in April, this year we are going in late May and are hopeful of another brilliant time in Southern Ireland. Please do book early as we anticipate demand will be very high. The journey involves an early start on Sunday about 6am to get to Pembroke for the afternoon ferry.

The River Island Hotel offers a relaxing and comfortable haven for people exploring the rugged west coast in the heart of Castleisland, Co. Kerry. At the heart of the kingdom, nestled between the towns of Killarney and Tralee the River Island is the perfect location for the many touristic sites that the Kingdom of Kerry has to offer. With a team of longstanding and dedicated staff, you can rest assured that you will be in a welcoming and warm setting. In a prime town centre location, the bustling streets of Castleisland await discovery.
After a long day on Sunday we leave our overnight hotel in Waterford on Monday morning and travel to Kerry by way of Cork. We arrive in Castleisland mid-afternoon.
Our week includes: Killarney and experience the infamous Jaunting Car ride through the National Park followed by a scenic lake cruise.
Full day with local guide on the Dingle Peninsula with a scenic tour of this precious Irish landscape then in the afternoon a scenic boat cruise around Dingle Bay.
The Ring of Kerry is the highlight of this tour. Formed during the last ice age, this picturesque peninsula with its traditional villages, lush countryside and ocean views, makes it a wonderful coastal drive, again with our local guide.
Friday we head for home and our overnight hotel with time en-route for lunch. Our ferry leaves at 0845 on Saturday morning so an early start and breakfast on the ferry to Pembroke docking at 1245 we expect to be home around 8pm
