We start the morning in Thaxted for coffee & biscuits followed by a visit to the old wool church where English composer Gustav Holst played the organ, and the vicar flew the red flag from the tower. Next, we take in the gently rolling landscapes of rural Essex and the chocolate box village of Finchingfield as we head south to little known Essex Rodings. A ploughman's lunch surrounded by vintage vehicles and old coaching ephemera in High Easter’s Lodge Garage is included (drinks extra). The afternoon allows time to enjoy the collection of the Lodge Family, as well as, two rides out in the immaculately restored 1940s and 1950s coaches that have starred in Only Fools spin off Rock & Chips and the
blockbuster series The Crown. Finally, tea & cake is included before we head home.
